The World BASC Organization participated at the Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association (FCBF) General Membership Meeting, held on September 25, 2019, in Miami, Florida.
The meeting brought together FCBF’s member companies, different enforcement authorities with which FCBF works in the United States, other stakeholder organizations and special guests.
Following the recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between these two organizations at the WBO’s Congress in Cartagena, Colombia, on September 20, 2019, BASC was invited to speak at the FCBF’s annual membership meeting. Manuel Echeverria, Executive Director of the World BASC Organization, in his remarks, shared with the audience the organization’s experience in facilitation, compliance, trust and security in international trade, as well as the BASC benefits and impact in the Americas. The event also enjoyed the participation of representatives from the CTPAT regional office in Miami as well as other special guests, including Jennifer Diaz, Diaz Trade Law; Mr. Peter Touhy, director of the CTPAT regional office in Miami, and Mrs. Karma Ruiz, World Wise Consulting.
